The Network's Philosophy
The State Early Childhood Policy Technical Assistance Network was established to fill this gap. The Network is designed to provide credible and unbiased help to state decision-makers on early childhood policy issues, by being:

meeting executive and legislative deadlines, often getting the best available evidence within a few short days or scheduling presentations on short notice.

linking credible information to specific policy and budgeting options and translating research findings into the practical world of decision-making.

focusing on issues that executive and legislative officials identify as important, recognizing the state's unique history and political climate.

drawing on the best available information and grounding assistance in experience and research, rather than hypothesis or philosophy.

meeting the specific needs of the state in question rather than delivering pre-packaged advice.
